Windows Me DOS Prompt without Boot Disk

My floppy drive is broken and my Windows Me installation
is acting screwy. Windows Me won't start.

Is there anyway to boot to a DOS prompt without using a
boot floppy? I could fix the problem if I could just get
to one lousy DOS command prompt. I can't afford to
replace my floppy drive yet, and if I did, it won't be of
much use to me since I rarely use it.

No. Win Me does not use real mode.

What do you want to do from real mode DOS that you cannot do in a DOS window?
There may be another approach you can use such as creating a wininit.ini file
to do the task for you when booting you PC and before the system loads.

No. Win Me does not use real mode.

What do you want to do from real mode DOS that you cannot do in a DOS
window? There may be another approach you can use such as creating a
wininit.ini file to do the task for you when booting you PC and before
the system loads.

Alternatively, a bootable CD might get you there.

Safe Mode is usually a good place to start.

What problems are you experiencing ?
