VMinf.exe?
What is VMinf.exe? On 31/5/2004, symantec database
tells that it is a virus. But, I cannot find it again in the same database, in June. From the Firewall, VMinf.exe would try to go out to the internet in the background. Should I allow it? |

VMinf.exe?
No.
Vminf.exe is not part of the operating system and as far as I can find this is not a file used by any other application. Personally I would have deleted it when I first found it. The reason that it doesn't appear when searching the Symantec database is possible because it is a commercial parasite rather than a virus or worm and as such not targeted by Symantec. Not that like viruses, many parasites use randomly generated games which makes it difficult to score a hit when looking on the net for files with the same name. -- Mike Maltby MS-MVP Queation1 wrote: What is VMinf.exe?
