Default OT - Nero v Roxio

This post is somewhat off topic, but not entirely. I am
building up a Win98 based PC for mostly multimedia
activity. I am looking for comparisons of Nero 6 Ultra to
Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator 6. I'd like opinions relating
specifically to each products capabilities and/or drawbacks
under Win98se, however general comparisons would also be
appreciated. I'll be attempting audio and video activity.
Audio activity will mostly be transfer of my LP collection
to MP3 files burned to both .cda and .mp3 CDs. Vidio
activity I'm not so sure about other than I'd like to be
able to transfer VHS and BETA (yes I have beta tapes!) to
DVD and/or SVCD format.

Thanks,
gm

FOUND ONE THING ABOUT NERO VS ROXIO:

PERHAPS IT IS THE VERSION NUMBER I AM USEING OR I JUST
NEVER FOUND OUT "HOW TO" BUT MY VERSION OF NERO DOES NOT
COPY FROM CD TO HARD DISK WHERE ROXIO DOES.

Nero's option/command/whatever is "create disc image" to copy a cd to hard
disk
