Default Symantec virus removal tool

When I try to delete the Symantec fxBgbear removal tool
from my desktop, I get a prompt that tells me fxBgbear is
a program (MSDOS - BGBEAR.EXE) and by deleting it I will
no longer be able to edit some documents. Does this mean
it will compromise/damage the Microsoft Word program? What
could happen if I delete it? Thanks,

John

The removal tool at
http://securityresponse.symantec.com...oval.tool.html
is named FxBgbear.exe. It may be safely deleted.
