My Network Places 'gone'; unable to add network printer
I am trying to connect to a network printer but, when I click Add Printer,
there is no prompt to choose local or network printer; it goes right to the list of mfrs and printer models (as if I have already selected Local). Also, when I click the "My Network Places" link in Windows Explorer, nothing happens. Internet access is working fine so, the PC is 'on' the network. |

It's impossible to tell which OS you're using - Min ME is not really capable
of using Network printers - but if the software support is available for your printer, you can install it as 'Local', and then redirect it to the network - what is the make/model of your printer? -- Noel Paton (MVP 2002-2006) (CrashFixPC) Nil Carborundum Illegitemi http://www.crashfixpc.co.uk "Rich R in CR" Rich R in wrote in message ... The PC is using Windows ME. The printer is an Epson Stylus Photo R200.
I will try your suggestion of installing it as a Local printer and redirecting it to the network. Thanks.
