are you ready lol
first you need to make a startup disk for windows me. You
need a floppy, in your control panel go to add or remove
programs click startup disk tab put floppy in and click
create. now remove floppy. You need a windows ME
installation disk with the serial key. Shut down computer
put floppy in and boot up. Choose without cdrom support.
After that you should have A:\ on the screen. type in
format c: and hit enter. (your drive letter may be
different). Let it run through. When done restart computer
so changes are saved. Then choose with cdrom support. A:\
will be on the screen again this time you want to type in
your cdrom drive letter it kicks back a letter so if it
was d: it will be E:, type in letter hit enter now you
should have E: on screen (or what ever letter it is) Now
you want to make sure the installation cd is in the cd
rom. Type setup after your cd drive letter hit enter and
follow on screen instructions. It is a good idea if you
make sure that you have all your drivers for your hardware
before you start, sound card, video card any controller
cards ect. You can get all the drivers online at the
makers websites. Good luck!
