Please explain step-by-step how to turn off power management in bios and/or
in the OSD of the monitor.

Also, what could have caused this to have changed? Software conflict?

Each BIOS chip manufacturer has a different method for changing BIOS values,
and some computer manufactures even modify the BIOS chip manufactured data.
You have to tells us your computer model and the BIOS manufacturers before
we can help.
OR, if it is not spelled out in the manual that came with your computer, go
the manufacturers web site for details.
READ the manual is a 4 letter word, but then sometimes we have to use those
words

Hank,

Try Start Settings Control Panel System Device Manager.
Open System Devices and select Power Management. Select Properties
and check "Disable in this profile". OK your way out and re-boot.
