No Sound on WIN98
Please help!
I can't hear sound on my computer. It used to work ok, but now I cannot. What steps can I take to get my sound back? |

Try going to Start Control Panel System, then going to
Device Manager, and looking for your Sound Card/Audio Card. If you can't find it, or it has an X or an ! on the icon, then you must reinstall it. You can do this using the CD you got with your soundcard or motherboard. How far does this get you? |

Try this: Looking for your Driver name or file &/or software GO TO: http://www.driverguide.com/ Still don't know the name or manufcturer of your driver.On your driver, look for a sticker with an FCC ID number. Then go to this site to determine the manufacturer of your card. http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/help.html#drivers Hope this will help you. C For information on installing W98, go to: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour/html/w98_restore.html or go to: http://www.waynescomputerworld.com/cleaninstall.html ^ Also tells you how to Formate/Reformate your Hard Drive for Reintallation(s.)^ Or upgrades.
