Windows error installing Linksys wireless USB adapter
I had successsfully installed a Linksys wireless USB adapter (WUSB11B) a year
ago. I made some changes to my SMC wireless router, SSID name, MAC address filtering. When I updated the adapter to use the new SSID name I was unable to connect through to the internet. Checked MAC # and is right. Couldn't resolve so I un-installed the adapter, and re-installed from CD. Instructions said to install sw first, then pluggin the USB adapter. W98 sees the device and starts installing it. Adapter searches for router, finds it, then I get Windows error message saying there was an illegal operation in the adapter wusb11b. Tried newer drivers but same result. Please advise on what I can do to resolve this error. |
