Default Problems with ME and NSW

I'll try to keep this brief. A couple of weeks ago I was
forced to do a complete System Restore from the
Restoration Disks. When I did this, I installed my
firewall and Norton System Works immediately.

I had problems with AOL, so I had to un/reinstall that.
Then everytime I booted up, I received the error message
that SYSEVNT.386 (or something close) couldn't load.

I tried all the information I could get on the internet
and finally just deleted NSW off my system. (I'm still
trying to get all of it off).

Anyhow, I have two remaining problems.
1) I have the recycle bin icon with the little shield and
the N on it. When I try to access my recycle bin, it
tells me it can't find Program.exe. :sigh:
2) The most annoying. I can no longer play any games
online that involve javascript.

I've checked my firewall, that isn't the problem (I use
Zone Alarm). I've checked all my settings in IE, THEY
aren't the problem. I've tried downloading the java
whatever that Pogo Games requested I download and
install. Did that, still doesn't work.

I'm at my wits end.

Please someone help me.

Thanks

Robin

Thusly, it was spoken by the voices beneath Robin's tin-foil hat on

I've found the hard way that Norton an windows do not mix.
