Default hp psc1100

All I would like to know is if you can print a color document in black to
save your color cartrdige. For example, when I get my bank statement online
it is in color and with my Lexmark I just choose black in the properties
screen and it prints in black. I have been online with HP for about an hour
and still have no answer. Can someone help me?

Choose the option to print in grayscale.
