Default Worms!!!

I think my pc has been infected by worms! But I can't tell
what worm it is! What should I do to identify the type of
the worm? And what should I do after knowing what worm it
is?

Do you have an antivirus program installed? Is it fully up to date
with the virus definition files not more than a week old? Have you
done a complete virus scan of your hard drive within the past day or
two?

If the answers to all of the above questions is Yes then your problem
is more likely to be related to spyware rather than a virus/worm. And
if the answer is No to any of them then you need to remedy that
immediately.

Then go to MVP Jim Eshelman's online spyware test at
http://aumha.org/a/noads.htm and then follow the instructions on his
Quick Fix page at http://www.aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm

And also get a "second opinion" on possible virus infections by doing
a free online virus scan at http://housecall.trendmicro.com

Good luck

You may have a virus/spyware hijack

download the Stinger from here and run it to make sure that A-V-disabling
viruses are not present on your PC
http://download.nai.com/products/mca...rt/stinger.exe

- update your virus scanner and run a full system scan of all files.

Reboot to Safe Mode and run CWShredder - to remove variants of the
CoolWebSearch hijacker.

Use CWShredder, the removal tool:

http://www.merijn.org/files/CWShredder.exe
http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads...CWShredder.exe
http://www.zerosrealm.com/downloads/CWShredder.zip

download AdAware from www.lavasoftusa.com, install, update, and run it to
remove spyware, adware,
and other such nasties from your system.
