Default MVPS HOSTS File Update [12-29-06]

Although I have sent you a personal email, maybe a mention here would help
others.......I am unable to get the Help feature of the new Hoster to work
(I dl'd it for the MVP Host file access feature). The Help GUI comes up,
however, in the right pane it states "Navigation to the website was
cancelled" and "try retyping the address". Any thoughts of what may be the
cause?? Thank you for your time.
Heirloom, old and know it isn't the DNS

Default MVPS HOSTS File Update [12-29-06]

Well, I found the problem and all is well. After checking "Properties" for
the .chm file, I noticed that it was 'blocked' by Windows. I unblocked it
and it works well now. Maybe this will help others with the same issue,
hopefully.

Glad you got your issue fixed Loom, since I don't any of the third-party
software from the site. I'd sooner manually update, but that's me wink

Default MVPS HOSTS File Update [12-29-06]

I told Todd at Funkytoad about it, he was pleased to have the info as it may
come in handy for others. I used to manually change the HOSTS file,
however, I liked the convenience of being able to merge and append without
duplications (of course, most of the time, I simply replace.....it is also
quite handy for searching and editing). BTW, the help file (.chm) was
hardly worth the effort.......didn't tell me anything that wasn't already
obvious. Once again, thanks for your time.
