I want to use my second computer as extension to my phone, for calls and all

Vivian Could be, you mean like answering machine, fax, voicemailboxes, etc... you need a modem that can do all that and the software to run it. If you find a competent salesgeek in your local computer store(s) he/she should be able to help you select a model. Rick
