"Invalid Boot Disk" message
Running Windows Me (reinsatlled in May 04) suddenly won't
Boot. Message "Invalid Boot Disk"" appears, even with no boot disk in Floppy Drive. When actual boot disk (from 05/04) is inserted, same message appears. From other forums it appears this may be a sign of deteriorating hard drive. Help!

Is the BIOS set so you boot from the hard drive?
Is the C:\ partition set to active in FDISK? Are the boot files on the C:\ drive? When's the last time it successfully booted from the hard drive? "John Powell" wrote in message ...
