Everything seems to be English.

Client for Microsoft Networks Properties gives me these choices:

I am guessing that would be the "Local Area Network (LAN) Settings of the=
=20
Internet Properties. Same settings that I have, so this looks good.

I am not sure what you are telling us in these last two parts. But I=20
question have your clients pointing to your host for DNS. Of course, that=
=20
may be something that ICS needs, but a router doesn't need. I haven't used=
=20
ICS in forever.

It isn't really necessary, unless you have some resources connected to your
LAN which only understand it, or some software, such as network aware games,
which only understand it. Very old stuff, now; just about everything made
for Windows since Windows Me knows other protocols than IPX/SPX.

But why no need NetBEUI? does it resolve the host name between pc?

I don't use it. It isn't normally installed in Windows XP; so, unless you
went out of your way to install it on your WinXP boxes, it doesn't do any
good to include it.

When I install PPPoE, it applies PPPoE on both Ethernet cards for me
automatically. should I remove the PPPoE on local Ethernet cards?

PPPoE is only necessary on the "Host" computer. That is the only computer
making an Internet connection through a DSL modem, and PPPoE is the DSL
dialer. On any of the client computers it will only cause problems.

I have switched off the DHCP and set the static IP on client(XP) on the
TCP/IP config. but should I stop the "DHCP client" service in the Service
panel?

DHCP is what assigns the IP addresses to the computers. If you are setting
up IP addresses manually, disable all of the DHCP settings. Otherwise the
host will be trying to assign IP addresses to the clients.

Let me try to enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP later.

I have try the networking Wizard in XP many times.

One odd thing to watch out for: Wins configuration should be disabled. I
saw it enabled on one network I was helping to troubleshoot. It has
something to do with NT domains, or the like. It is not necessary for your
system.

I have installed Proxy+ on my Host (ME).
I point the proxy to my host on client PC.
the client can access the wed.
that means the setting of my client is OK.
but ICS on Host has problem?
so what should I check the ICS on Host?

Try to get things working without the proxy, first. You should not really
need the proxy with ICS running. The DNS is the first thing I would look at;
I doubt that you have a DNS server running on your host computer, so the
clients should not be set to the host IP address. If you are manually
setting things up, connect with your host computer and run 'winipcfg'; check
your DNS IP addresses in the box. Use the "More Info" button, and click
the '...' button next to the IP address in the "DNS Servers" box. Keep
clicking until you get to the first IP address; and be sure you write them
down. Enter them manually on the clients.

I so very rarely look at that page that I forgot about it!
Leave it set at 'Log on and restore network connections' - it'll speed up
ICS access cf. Quick Logon
