Hi Carole
The server is the same for all MS newsgroups using Outlook Express. The server is msnews.microsoft.com This should get you the news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...ic.office.misc ....Alan -- Alan Edwards, MS MVP W95/98 Systems http://dts-l.org/index.html In microsoft.public.windowsme.new-user, "Carole" Carole@aWindowsMESystem wrote: Thank you for your comments Alan. Appreciated & understood. I've now found the Microsoft Office newsgroups via the web-pages but I'll be blowed if I can find anything that tells me the name of the news-server I need to set it up in Outlook Express. Everything seemed much more straight forward when I found the Windows ME newsgroup. There must be a different server name for the Office groups. I have Office 2000. Have disabled PCHealth files & must say that my system seems to be behaving itself since I did that !! I'm sure I have enough health protection via my anti-virus & firewall software anyway. It looks like a problem with Excel rather than Windows ME and you may be better off at an Excel or Office group. What version of Excel or Office have you installed? ...Alan |

And, as the roads go too, Mike! With the 'new' motorway (M65), it's almost a straight line. In fact George is not that much further, maybe another 5 miles or so. Quite a little 'Silicon Valley' - at least for suppliers, in this part of the world g Mart "Mike M" wrote in message ... Jack, Carole is probably about 15 miles from Mart as the crow flies.
