Neol,
I have gotten down as far as get a copy of a full IE install. After trying several time to download IE6 after downloading IE6 Setup.exe I get this message: Setup has finished downloading the Windows update. Run "IE6 setup.exe" from the windows\windows update setup files folder when ready to complete setup. I copied and pasted what you showed to put in run. I'm doing something wrong, but don't no what it is.The download folder is on hard drive which is C and I put it there by right clicking on the start menu and then clicking explore. All's I can say is Help. Respectfully Jeanine -----Original Message----- Jean From what you say here, it looks very much as if you've attempted a reinstall of ME over IE6 - which doesn't work, and results in 'version soup' (a bit like alphabet soup - all the versions get mixed up, in blood-red sauce!g) There's only one known cure for this at present - look here for instructions. http://www.btinternet.com/~winnoel/ReInIE.htm Good Luck - and post back if you need explanations, or more help before embarking on 'brain surgery'!g -- Noel Paton (MS-MVP 2002-2004, Win9x) Nil Carborundum Illegitemi http://www.btinternet.com/~winnoel/millsrpch.htm http://tinyurl.com/6oztj Please read http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm on how to post messages to NG's "Jean" wrote in message ...
