Default screen font fails to print

Although I am able to see Arial correctly in Word and print preview, some
other san serif font is printing. I am able to print the Arial font sample
correctly. My Word documents formatted in Arial print out with noticeable
differences in cap G and R and lower case r and t. I am not using draft font
or draft output. I am using the latest driver for my Brother HL5140.
Switching to the HP Laserjet 6P driver, as recommended, by Brother support,
does not solve the problem. Suggestions?

configure the driver to download the font to the printer. The driver is
currently set to substitute the font.
