Default How do I get rid of movie pop up?

When I boot up my computer sometimes a movie screen pops up usually with an
advertisement for an upcoming movie. I have run Ad-Aware, Spybot, anti-virus
programs, but can't seem to get rid of this. Any suggestions?

Hi,

See if you can find anything suspicious loading in these startup areas.

-the load= and run= lines in the win.ini,
-the [386Enh] section of the SYSTEM.INI (.386 and .vxd files),
-the Startup folder, C:\WINDOWS\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp
-the AllUsers folder C:\Windows\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

-the registry keys (in order of likeliness)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\RunServices
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\RunOnce
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\RunOnce
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\RunServicesOnce
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\RunOnce\Setup
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\RunOnceEx

You should also run CWShredder from Merijn.org:
