Default DVD-ROM DVDS-115 will not play a DVD movie.

I get a error message "no valid drive / disk found" The
drive will recognize CD's, music & data. Don't know when
it happend, it worked a couple of years ago.

Same thing has happened to me, and in all my research, the best I could come
up with is the drive itself is damaged. I can't play song, burn, or read
data. Per Compusa it needs to be replaced.
The DVD still works for data and playing cd, but you cant burn using the
DVD. I went a yr not burning CDS, then when I went to burn one. I got the
same message.
Hope this helps..
