Default adding another printer

I'd like to add a second printer. Should I first select "add a printer" or
should I first install the driver for the second printer?

First, read the manual that comes with the printer!!

NP's point is that:
1. When Win95 and Win98 were created, most printers
connected via the LPT port, thus were best installed as
B11 proposes.
2. Nowadays most printers connect via USB: and many
USB printers require that the software be installed before
the USB connection is made. Printer manuals should
tell us the right order in B11's specific case.
