Zone Alarm
I cannot access the users guide for Zone Alarm from their
website. every time I try, all I get is a blank page. Then my computer freezes and I have to reboot. I have the program saved to My Documents but don't want to use it untill I am familiar with it. I don't get a not responding message with control alt.del. I have Adobe 6.0 with updates. I ran cws,Spybot, and Adware. Didn't find any thing. Tried to get to http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/parasite.htm could not get through. ???? |

Zone Alarm
I just accessed it with IE 6 and Netscape 7.2. I suspect you have other
problems with your Windows installation. But, not to worry. The good way to become familiar with ZoneAlarm is to install it and access the help files that way. Just do it. This isn't shareware written by some hack teenager in his basement - no need to worry about blowing anything up. "Bob" wrote in message ... I can access almost anything else,I only have trouble getting to sites that fight adware and such. They seem to freeze upon access or hang during download. cws says I have some sort of coolweb worm that causes this but it hasn't found it yet. I keep getting a message that IE has to close and then I'm automatically redirected to microsoft support site. Thanks Bob, hc@gc |

Thanks Bob, hc@gc Look in your hosts file (C:\WINDOWS\HOSTS) There should be only one uncommented line in it and that is 127.0.0.1 localhost If there's anything else, either delete it or put a comment in front of it. There are viruses and spyware programs that will alter your HOSTS file to prevent you from accessing certain sites. -- -- What happens if you get scared half to death twice? -- |
