Default help me! grrrr

My son has windows 98 on his computer, and it started
saying he was running out of memory so i delted some
things out of add/remove programs such as registry
mechanic, zango, Kazaa, and things, then i restarted it,
and now it wont go past the blue screen that saids
windows 98, it will sit there for about 10 seconds and
then the computer shuts off.. Why is it doing this?

Hi,
You might have to Reinstall Win98 on your PC.
But first try to get in to SAFE MODE and see if you can
correct the problem or back up your data some how.
To reinstall Win98 Please read on.

Still don't know the name or manufcturer of your
driver.On your driver, look for a sticker
with an FCC ID number. Then go to this site to determine
the manufacturer of your card.

Memory is ram so uninstalling programs would not fix whatever the problem
was. Was the error message actually saying something about hard drive
space or perhaps system resources?
