Default missing mso97.dll file fix

I'm getting an error message when I attempt to open my MS
Office applications that reads:
A required .DLL file, MSo97.DLL, was not found.

I've read that this is a known problem in Office 97
products, and have located several workarounds, but mostly
for Windows 2000 +. Since I have Windows 98, the fix is
apparently much more delicate/difficult.

I'm not a novice, but I'm not an expert, and I don't want
(and can't afford) to wreck my computer in my attempt to
fix this problem. If anyone has a recommendation, I would
greatly appreciate it.

What are the workarounds?
If you give details, then someone may be able to adjust for Win98.

Another option...

Try the Office group.

The "fix" has nothing to do with Windows, it has to do with reinstalling
Microsoft Office so the missing DLL file is replaced.
