Keyboard shortcut for focus
Hello,
Is there a Windows keyboard shortcut that will bring a program into focus? Often when I start my browser via its loader (I don't use Internet Explorer), it will be out of focus. Is there a shortcut key that will bring the browser (and other programs) into focus, so I don't have to reach for the mouse? |

One way this can happen is if you launch the browser from a batch file using the Start /m command. ================================================== =========== C:\WIN98SEstart /? Runs a Windows program or an MS-DOS program. START [options] program [arg...] START [options] document.ext /m[inimized] Run the new program minimized (in the background). /max[imized] Run the new program maximized (in the foreground). /r[estored] Run the new program restored (in the foreground). [default] /w[ait] Does not return until the other program exits. ================================================== =========== - Franc Zabkar -- Please remove one 'i' from my address when replying by email. |

I GUESS it would be the same to create a shortcut to the browser, & set to open maximized in it's Properties... (a) R-Clk that browser, Send To, Desktop (create shortcut). (b) R-Clk the shortcut, Properties. (c) Use the Run box's D-Arrow to select "Maximized". Or maybe try "Normal Window" first, which I guess holds it's last size & position. OR-- if Iceman is already clicking a shortcut, then examine it's current Properties! |
