Default Sound Volume

My daughter was messing around with my laptop and somehow
changed the volume. Now, when my laptop is on the volume
sounds really loud coming out of the speakers. I went to
the control panel and opened the sound application. The
volume appears to be set in the middle for all devices.
However, my speakers never made this kind of noise
before. I wonder if there are some settings that I am
unaware of?Does someone know how to fix this problem as it
is driving me crazy? Thanks in advance.

Default Sound Volume

Go to the speaker icon at the bottom right side of your monitor - SINGLE click
the icon and adjust your volume.

It sounds like you DOUBLE clicked the icon and got cd player, wave balance and
several other options to choose from.
