Ping MVPs & other folks who help here
Hi - it's a bit off topic but I would like your advice and comments. I have
an ATi 9000 Pro 64MB video card in one computer and a GeForce 4 440MX - 64MB in another. Both are DirectX 7 compliant. I play the Medal of Honor game series, and want to buy the Pacific Assault edition which was released a few weeks ago. The Pacific Assault specs call for a DirectX 8.1 or higher compatible video card. I know that neither of my video cards will work since the Pacific Assault Demo checks what video card is in your PC. My spending limit is $170 since I'll probably build a couple of new computers next year. Can you suggest a video card that's DirectX 9 compatible? One other thing. I just bought a 19 inch Samsung SyncMaster 997DF CRT monitor to replace my 3 1/2 year old Samsung SyncMaster 955DF 19 inch monitor which developed a problem of shaking video. This new monitor is better than the old one which was fabulous. Thanks for any assistance you can offer. Joe |
