I am trying to views several jpegs from a cd. The picture
is approximately four times the screen size. What do I do
to get the picture to be no larger than screen size?

You might want to download Irfanview. It's a free graphics program and is
simple to use. It will allow you to resize the images. I've been using it
for years.
