Default System Clock display has changed.

The System Clock in the lower right hand corner of my
Windows 98 taskbar always displayed the date with the day
of the week, like "Sunday August 15 2004".

Now, for some reason, it just displays, "August 15 2004".

What happened to the day of the week?

Thanks for the reply, but nothing on that control panel
feature offers to display the day of the week, like it
used to. I guess it's just gone into computer limbo.

You must have had a third party program installed such as TClock which you
can download he

Just thought I'd let everyone know that the mystery has
been solved.

Start/Settings/Control Panel/Regional Settings.

On the Regional Settings there is a drop-down menu
offering several languages.

If I pick English (Canadian) the System Clock displays
August 17 2004 when the mouse pointer is hovered over it,
and there is no option offered to display the day of the
week.

If I pick English (United States) the System Clock
displays Tuesday August 17 2004.

Guess Bill Gates thought we Canucks didn't need to know
what day it is.
