System Clock display has changed.
The System Clock in the lower right hand corner of my
Windows 98 taskbar always displayed the date with the day of the week, like "Sunday August 15 2004". Now, for some reason, it just displays, "August 15 2004". What happened to the day of the week? |

Thanks for the reply, but nothing on that control panel
feature offers to display the day of the week, like it used to. I guess it's just gone into computer limbo. -----Original Message----- Start settings control panel regional settings date time to change the displayed view of date/time -- Adaware http://www.lavasoft.de spybot http://security.kolla.de AVG free antivirus http://www.grisoft.com Etrust/Vet/CA.online Antivirus scan http://www3.ca.com/securityadvisor/virusinfo/scan.aspx Panda online AntiVirus scan http://www.pandasoftware.com/ActiveScan/ Catalog of removal tools http://www.pandasoftware.com/download/utilities/ Blocking Unwanted Parasites with a Hosts file http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm links provided as a courtesy, read all instructions on the pages before use Grateful thanks to the authors/webmasters "Patrick" wrote in message ... | The System Clock in the lower right hand corner of my | Windows 98 taskbar always displayed the date with the day | of the week, like "Sunday August 15 2004". | | Now, for some reason, it just displays, "August 15 2004". | | What happened to the day of the week? | | . |

You must have had a third party program installed such as TClock which you
can download he http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/fil...id,6122,00.asp It's free. Joe wrote in message ... Thanks for the reply, but nothing on that control panel feature offers to display the day of the week, like it used to. I guess it's just gone into computer limbo. snip |

Just thought I'd let everyone know that the mystery has
been solved. Start/Settings/Control Panel/Regional Settings. On the Regional Settings there is a drop-down menu offering several languages. If I pick English (Canadian) the System Clock displays August 17 2004 when the mouse pointer is hovered over it, and there is no option offered to display the day of the week. If I pick English (United States) the System Clock displays Tuesday August 17 2004. Guess Bill Gates thought we Canucks didn't need to know what day it is. -----Original Message----- The System Clock in the lower right hand corner of my Windows 98 taskbar always displayed the date with the day of the week, like "Sunday August 15 2004".
