Default Help with Fatal Exception 0E 0028:EDA6CDA7

Can anyone help me troubleshoot this blue screen that I get, always
with the "EDA" prefix? I've searched all of the Knowledge Base 0E
articles, and found no references. Every fatal exception is the type
0E 00:28 EDA..., such as:
EDA3BDB0, or
EDA3BDA5, or
EDA7BDB4, or
EDA3BDAD

This occurs on my Win98 desktop when my laptop with XP Pro enters or
leaves my home network (I have only these two computers on the
network). The laptop with WinXP Pro is networked through a wireless
Linksys router to my Desktop running Win98. The desktop connects to
the router via ethernet cable. I can see each computer from the
other, and I can access the internet from either. As long as I start
the laptop first, and then start the desktop, I don't get the fatal
exception. To avoid the fatal exception, I also must shut down the
desktop before I shut down the laptop (or before I put the laptop in
standby mode).

I've asked for help on the Win98 networking forum but not received
any--please help!
