Admin Account (install VPN)
I "inherited" an HP with ME on it, and I need to set up an administrator
account to install VPN software for work. I have no idea how the previous owner set the thing up, or how many accounts are currently on it. Can I find this out somehow? How do I know if there is already an administrator account? Thanks!

Win Me has no administrator account. Such accounts are a feature of NT

Oh, crud. My directions for the VPN installation keep mentioning that I

Let me put it another way. All accounts on Win 9x systems such as Win Me
can be considered to be administrator accounts. The only exception being where a user doesn't actually log on and just clicks cancel when the logon window appears on booting their PC. -- Mike Maltby MS-MVP Wendy M. wrote: Oh, crud.
