Typing minimizes windows
When I type anything in Internet Explorer, Word, etc all of the windows
minimize and sometimes Windows Explorer opens. This doesn't seem to happen in DOS mode. Any thoughts? |

Typing minimizes windows
Sounds to me like you're accidentally hitting the Windows key. WinKey+E will
open Explorer, WinKey+D will Minimize all, and there are many others. You need to arch your hands less, I would guess, or use a less sensitive keyboard. There are ways to disable the WinKey if you decide you want to. The version of Windows you run matters, so are you actually using Windows 98 or 98SE, as your newsgroup choice indicates? Or are you running some other version of Windows? While there are apparently several ways to disable the keys in Windows 2K/XP, I find none to do it in Windows 9x (except, perhaps, something like Intellitype. -- Gary S.
