Default "Parameter is Incorrect"

Whenever I reboot, a little box appears in the middle
of the screen, saying "The parameter is incorrect". It
does not describe which parameter, or what shortcut is
causing it.

It is not a big deal, just a little nuisance.

I suspect it has something to do with my Startup group,
but I have emptied it out and it still does it.

Suggestions?

Your Startup group is a minor part of Startup.

Check in Msconfig for any oddities.
(Start-Run-MSCONFIG-Startup tab)
If you cannot see anything in Msconfig then:

Start-Run-msinfo32
Click the + beside Software Environment to expand.
Click Startup Programs
Ctrl+A to Select All, Ctrl+C to Copy.
Paste that information in your message.

Will enabling Bootlogging do any good, or does that cut out before the
Startup groups get aholt of it?

I woudn't have thought Bootlog.txt would show anything useful in this
particular case but I will stand correction.
