Default ME Booting

I have another computer with ME. I can't boot it up. I used a boot
disk and was able to get to the A prompt and then onto the C prompt.
I did a Dir/ of C and got the program contents. When I changed
directory to [Windows] to try and get the Dir of it I cant get a list
of the files in that directory so I can use the win.exe file to open
windows.
What can I do to get this computer to be able to be used as it was
before I couldn't boot up in ME? Thank you

First thing is that you can't boot Win Me from a command prompt.

Moving on, what changes did you make to your PC the last time it was
running? Knowing that might help establish the way forward. In addition,
exactly what happens when you attempt to boot Win Me in Normal mode? What
happens when you attempt to boot to Safe Mode?

I have a new computer. It has been a while since I used that machine.
I recall that I was never able to get past the ME welcome screen. I
couldn't get to Normal and Safe Mode because it wouldn't go any
further in booting.

Hope this hel;ps.
