this message appears prior to shutting down. I know Ive posted once here

Any other suggestions ... thanks.

The error message that I see on the link under user.exe only indicates two.

Ive checked the KB articles and cannot obtain any details so far regarding
the posted error.

Then use the Repair tool in the Add-Remove Programs wizard. Begin to
uninstall IE 6 and you will be offered three options, one of which is to
repair it.

Hi, Jack.

When I read "I have completed all sorts of spyware scans
with about everything available out there." I wonder if
there's rogue spyware problems on the machine. I was
googling to find the AumHa link that lists bad choices but
didn't find it.

Just a thought.

Next time the error happens press Alt+D to bring up the Detailed Error
Message. That will provide some more specific information about the
error.

Copy the first part of the Detailed Error Message, up to the word
Registers:, and post that information back here.

Good luck

Well the error message Im getting has been posted.

I havent used any other programs besides the general ones mentioned in these
sites.

Other than that, Im at a loss on this one. Just purchased a new virus scan a
short while ago and is updated.

Ad-aware and Spybot both do not indicate any wrong files.
