color settings

i have reformatted my hard drive , now the only 2 options
for color is 2 colors or 16 colors and i also canot change
my pixels

If you just reinstalled Windows, or you cannot change to 256, 16 bit, or 32
bit color, you probably need to reinstall your video card drivers.

To reinstall your video card drivers, you need to know the exact make and
model of your video card in order to install the correct/updated drivers.

There are several ways to determine what kind of video card you have.

1. Check the manual that came with your PC.

2. You can open your PC tower to look at the video card and note the name
and numbers printed on it.

3. You can download and run this free program. It might be able to
determine what kind of video card you have:

To find the Everest info you need to post, run the Everest program, and
click the + sign next to Computer
on the left side of your screen then click Summary.

Then Right click the information on the *right* side of your screen and
select Copy. You can then paste the information in Notepad or paste it

Everest will tell you a lot about what's inside your PC. In addition to
telling us the *Brand and Model Number* of your computer, please post back
the information Everest reports for your:

Motherboard

CPU

Chipset

Display PCI/AGP Video

Display GPU

This information will assist us in finding the correct video drivers, and
directing you to the video card manufacturer's website so you can download
and install them.

Joe727, I followed your instructions and everything worked perfect,I thank
you very much, The only thing is after I loaded the drivers and restarted,
all the windows are about an inch to the right leaving a 1 inch space on the
left of my screen, I set the pixels and used the monitor adjustments but it
will go no further to the left and the right side of all windows is plum off
the screen, i had to make the windows smaller to get the window to fit on the
screen, and when i reloaded my golf game tiger99 itis the same way, my email
address is ,
Thank You very much, you saved me buying a new video card, also after
installing the driver do not go back to 16 or 2 color you can not see a thing
lol, i about never got it back to a higher setting.

Reinstall your monitor drivers. You should have gotten a floppy disk with
your monitor.

You can also get the monitor drivers at driverguide.com. Use drivers
as the log-in name and all for the password.

Hi,

Install the proper driver software for your VGA Card. The
driver card number and manufacurer name are display in the
VGA card. If the VGA in on board one, then you should have
the mother board CD. If u do not have one, contact your
vendor and install the driver software. It will work fine.
