I have been using Avast for years now and would like to know, what's so hard
about clicking the right button? You are supposed to help Figgs out, not
toot in her horn vbg.

I'm 1.31 km from the exchange and I wouldn't mind getting even 2 MB, at the
moment I can't even get more than half a MB I'm changing.
Shane knows all about it was talking to him this afternoon g

PS: And you can still keep your mussels even done the way you said, don't

I've got to try and lay down the law and get my line gain upgraded, my
service is for up to 8 MB but my line is only capable of 2 MB and I'm
getting no where near that, I don't understand the results of these speed
tests but I've been told I should get faster speed for my ADSL than I
get.

Don't bet on it! try resetting the router - then do an online speed test,
and at the same time, check the various readings on dB, etc....
chances are that you are too far from the exchange to get more than
2Mb/s - which equates to ~250KB/s. You have to be within about 1 Km of the
exchange to get much more than that.


Anyway going to go and catch up, I'm a moderator and administrator on a
site now so got to catch up g

OT.....did you know Tonto was Canadian and was raised on the 6 Nations
Reserve about an hour from me?? His real name was Jay Silverheels. What a
hunk he was!!

The two or three times I've tried Avast! over the years, I've found the
interface abominable, Harry. Or possibly abdominal. That would be in the
sense of gastric complications.

You'll notice, no doubt, that mine too is a Scottish name. Arguably I'm more
Scottish than the Welshman! Chiswick trumps Slough. Whereas Slough just
trumps.

I was talking with a Scottish dept head some years back - at France '98
time. I told him my father raised me to be a Scotland supporter...

(this is where timing counts!)

....but eventually I decided to support a team that actually had a chance of
winning!

Having said that, I last went to an England game in the '70s by which time
I'd had enough, and if anything they've got worse in the intervening years!
The shame about Scotland was they never made use of their best player,
Charlie Cooke (who finally had the good sense to go to the States!).
