Default win'98 wireless network is not working

I made the mistake of creating an xp network floppy and installing it
in a working win'98 wireless network to add an xp laptop. How do I
restore the win'98 files that the xp network floppy overwrote? Thanks

If you haven't got a backup of the system, I would identify the file names of
the files on the floppy, locate them on the Win98 PC, delete them and see
what happens.

With a bit of luck no files will have been overwritten.

If that doesn't work, then reinstall Win98 over itself.

The files are on the xp netsetup floppy in netsetup.exe & I don't know what
the names are. I tried searching by date, but it was no help. I'm trying to
avoid re-installing win'98. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks.
