Default Extra Letters/Numbers

Could you help me correct this situation? My keyboard is
typing extra letters and letters I do not type. Here is
an example: This compute7r is acting cr7az4y again.
Late7r. Can this be corrected? Is it the keyboard?

t7ry t7o r7epair a s7ticky7 k7ey,
shut down the pc, unplug the keyboard, turn it upside down and shake it till
all the dust n crumbs and dead moths (CSIRAC MARK1 1945:rigin of "The bug
in the computer") in the hope of freeing the stuck keys

Does the problem disappear when you use a different keyboard? If so, the
problem is that the keyboard is faulty.
