Default My Network Places 'gone'; unable to add network printer

I am trying to connect to a network printer but, when I click Add Printer,
there is no prompt to choose local or network printer; it goes right to the
list of mfrs and printer models (as if I have already selected Local).

Also, when I click the "My Network Places" link in Windows Explorer, nothing
happens.

Internet access is working fine so, the PC is 'on' the network.

It's impossible to tell which OS you're using - Min ME is not really capable
of using Network printers - but if the software support is available for
your printer, you can install it as 'Local', and then redirect it to the
network - what is the make/model of your printer?

The PC is using Windows ME. The printer is an Epson Stylus Photo R200.

I will try your suggestion of installing it as a Local printer and
redirecting it to the network.

Thanks.
