Default a DOS game can not run properly

I ran the Battle Chess DOS demo game and got the following error message:
The program encountered a general protection exception
Fault location 17EE:F643 Interruption service : None

Please reply back soon.

Are you using Win98?
If so, uninstall the game and download a new install of it and try it again.
If there were any other error messages, please post ver batem.
Do you have the 759KB download or the 1.4MB one?
I didn't see the DOS version noted on:

Yes I am using the first edition of Windows 98.
I have the 759KB download of Battle Chess.
The zipped file Bcdemo.zip. This zip file contains no setup file.
What do I do now?
