display compatibility problem
I did a system snapshot using Dr Watson and the diagnosis
was :NVIDIA compatible Windows 95/98 Display driver, version 3.77does not appear to be a windows 95plug-and- play compatible driver. What do I do to fix it? |

Determine the exact video display adapter you have (if you don't already
know) and then locate the proper driver for it. You may have received a driver disk with your PC or video card. This assumes of course that you are having some display related problem. -- Regards Ron Badour, MS MVP for W98 Tips: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour Knowledge Base Info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=kbinfo "Bill" wrote in message ... Yes I am having problems. When I read text, it looks like
I smear the ink across the screen. I have NVIDIA GeForce 256 AGP (Dell) and I think it is onthe Dell resourceCD. -----Original Message----- Determine the exact video display adapter you have (if you don't already know) and then locate the proper driver for it. It should be--you can also check the Dell web site for an updated driver. I
would boot to safe mode and go to control panel, system, device manager and see if there is any problem indicated with the display adapter. If there are duplicate entries, delete all and reboot. Once in normal mode, try reinstalling the driver on your resource CD or an updated one if available. -- Regards Ron Badour, MS MVP for W98 Tips: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour Knowledge Base Info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=kbinfo "bill" wrote in message ...
