rebooting during critical updates ??

Could anyone please help with this : I am running the update, and after it
recognises 5 critical updates, only about 4mb's worth , well it fills the
top bar in as it is installing, and after it gets to the end (the install
bar), it reboots .. huh?...EVERY nTIME, I have tried updating 1 install at a
time, ...I am very low on memory, RAM, but i close down a lot of progs
before updating, has anyone got a clue why this is happenin' All the Best

You may have a virus/spyware hijack

download the Stinger from here and run it to make sure that A-V-disabling
viruses are not present on your PC

- update your virus scanner and run a full system scan of all files.

Reboot to Safe Mode and run CWShredder - to remove variants of the
CoolWebSearch hijacker.

Thanks Noel, and i dunno why , but it took 4 hours, odd, for the stinger i
already had to run thro' c: also, it took an age to look at the results, in
notepad,wordpad what shud i be looking at results in mate, i aint very old
hand at comps, but all is okay now, thanks....Fred

You should be looking for the stinger not to have found anything at all!!g
Anything it does find, it'll remove - BUT you need to use the latest version
or it's almost worse than useless
