No volume control on taskbar
The volume control is gone and I have no sounds. I have gone to Start /
Settings / Control Panel / Multimedia, and the 'show volume control on taskbar' is grayed out. Have been to Control Panel / Add-Remove Programs / Multimedia, and 'volume control' is checked. Any ideas what is going on? -- MrScribe |

No volume control on taskbar
Boot in safe mode. Open the control panel, system, device manager and
remove any entry under Sounds... that has to do with your sound card. Have the disk containing your sound card driver available so that when you reboot, you can reinstall your sound card driver. -- Regards Ron Badour, MS MVP for W98 Tips: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour Knowledge Base Info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=kbinfo "MrScribe" wrote in message ...
