Computer Freezes/Locks up
Hi Ann!
A I leave my computer on all the time, and if I leave it A idle for a few hours, I come back and the system is A completely frozen. The screen is black. The only way that A I can restore it is to manually turn the computer off and A then turn it back on. Try turning down the Graphics Acceleration setting (I have no idea why graphics). Try setting all the way to the left to see if that is the problem; if appears to fix slowly increase until the lockups start again. One thing I found that also seemed to fix was to have a DOS (command prompt) window running in the background. Didn't have to be active or even doing anything. - ¯ barry.martinþATþthesafebbs.zeppole.com ® * Unauthorized amphibians will be toad away. --- þ RoseReader 2.52á P003186 þ The Safe BBS þ Bettendorf, IA 563-359-1971 --- þ RIMEGate(tm)/RGXMod V1.13 at BBSWORLD * |
