Default cannot see windows files

Suddenly i cannot see C:\Windows files
(on the right side of the windows explorer)
if i choose view"as web page" AND "details".
Note that everything is OK with all other folders
except C:\windows and C:\windows\system.
How can i get it back (meaning: get back the message
"show (all) files")

MY computer is clean, no virus or other malware
Windows 98se
IE6 SP1

thanks in advance
