DST
I am running a Win98 box, and a week or so ago used TZEdit to correct for the
new DST. Today arrived, and my computer doesn't seem to recognize the patch. I would appreciate any suggestions. Yes, I double checked to make sure that the setting were correct for my area. |

See here for an automated patch. MAKE SURE you follow the three steps
required to enable the change. You need to change the Time Zone you're in to something else, then change it back. This is also true for after using TZEdit, so perhaps you forgot those steps? Easy way to find out if your TZ is correct and DST is enabled, is to look at the headers of a new message to this group and see if the GMT offset is correct. For the Pacific zone, it should now read, for example, "Date: Sun, 11 Mar 2007 11:36:03 -0700". That indicates I'm in Pacific Daylight Time. If it were standard time, that would read "... -0800" Those in the Eastern Standard time zone should have headers reading "....-0400" -- Gary S.
