Microsoft support for ME

Does Microsoft still support criticle fixes, etc for
windows ME? I know the no longer support 98.

Yes. The same is also true for Win 98.

For details see "Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, and Windows
Millennium Support Extended"

you will find the following:
"Windows 98 and Windows 98 Second Edition support was scheduled to end on
January 16, 2004. The continual evaluation of the Support Lifecycle policy
revealed, however, that customers in the smaller and the emerging markets
needed additional time to upgrade their product. Therefore, Microsoft will
continue to support Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, and Windows Me
through June 30, 2006"

Support for Internet Explorer (See "Lifecycle Supported Service Packs"
(http://support.microsoft.com/gp/lifesupsps)) on various platforms and
versions ends as follows:
Win 98 with IE6 SP1 - 31 Dec 2006
Win 98SE with IE6 SP1 - 31 Dec 2006
Win Me with IE5.5 SP2 - 31 Dec 2005
Win Me with IE6 SP1 - 31 Dec 2006
Earlier versions of IE on these platforms such as IE5, IE5.5 SP1 and IE6
Gold are no longer supported.
