desktop icon hover error
My win98SE desktop icons are set for one-click-to-
highlight, two-to-open. However, they highlight on mouseover, while still requiring a double-click to open, despite several visits to Custom Settings in Folder Options. The settings are always correct (what I want), but the behavior is not. Moreover, the highlight on *any* desktop item (icon, filename in a Windows Explorer send-to- desktop shortcut-folder, right-click menu option...) is UNdone simply by an inadvertant mouse move. That is, except sometimes when a window covers all but parts of a few icons, they work correctly! Is anyone familiar with this problem? I've done some searching, but without finding a previous question about it. Thanks for whatever help you can give. |
